Kinetic Luna is a 50 cc moped that was introduced by Kinetic Engineering in India in 1972.The Kinetic Luna continues to be produced and marketed in India. It is marketed in the USA as Kinetic TFR. A 35 cc version, the Luna Wings, was also produced. TVS motors India also produce same type moped's which again was specially for small business owners.

9. Bajaj M-80 Major

Bajaj M-80 was a moped produced by Bajaj Auto mainly for transport purpose for small kirana vendors in India. It became famous among small businessman because it was lightweight and powerful due to its 74cc 4-stroke air cooled engine which produces 5.2 bhp @ 7500 rpm. 8. Kawasaki Bajaj 4s Champion

After the Success of Hero Honda CD 100 in Indian Market in 1985, Bajaj Auto Introduced a much look a like of the CD100 in market named Kawasaki Bajaj 4s Champion. Bajaj was known for its scooters in India so had no experience in commuter motorcycles hence Bajaj India joined hands with Japan based Kawasaki motor company and started production of 4s Champion. With an 99.35cc engine the 4s Champion started a Mileage war in India, as company claimed 87 kmpl mileage and  gave atmost 120 kmpl which is still a mileage record in India an possibly in world.

7. Bajaj Pulsar

The Original Bajaj Pulsar was developed by the product engineering division of Bajaj Auto India ltd. Before the introduction of the Pulsar, the Indian motorcycle market trend was towards fuel efficient, small capacity motorcycles (that formed the 80–125 cc class). Bigger motorcycles with higher capacity virtually did not exist (except for Enfield Bullet). The launch and success of Hero Honda CBZ in 1999 showed that there was demand for performance bikes. Bajaj took the cue from there on and launched the Pulsar twins in India on 24 November 2001. By end of 2013, more than Seven million units of Pulsar were sold claiming a 53% of market share in its segment.



In mid-2001, the Indian Army ordered 1500 Bajaj Pulsars for its defense personnel. This projected the bike to the masses and Bajaj Auto which was at that time known for its scooters, started selling more bikes than it ever sold scooters. Due to its Muscular body Bajaj pulsar has became the first choice of Indian Youths. Pulsar introduced many new technologies in the motorcycle market including Bajaj's Patented DTSi and Exhaus TEC.
Bajaj Pulsar became so popular in Asia that over twelve different clones of the bike were manufactured outside India in countries like China and Hongkong. Pulsar have won over 50 national awards.
At the February 2014 Auto Expo, Bajaj announced two new 375 cc Pulsar variants: the CS400 and SS400.

6. Hero Honda CD 100

Hero Honda CD 100 is known as the first mass hit of Hero Honda Motorcycles Limited. The CD 100 was launched in 1985 and marked a place in the heart of million riders in the country. The bike was packed with all necessary elements that needed for commuter rider. It was the first bike that was produced with completely changed looks and soon became an instant hit carving the name of Hero-Honda in two wheeler industry. It started the mileage war in India among motorcycles. CD 100 was capable to bring out an unbelievable mileage of around 80 kmpl.

5. Rajdoot Excel-T

The Rajdoot Excel T a two-stroke motorcycle was made in India by Escorts Group.The motorcycle division of  Escorts Group started manufacturing the Polish SHL M11 motorcycle under the brand name Rajdoot from 1962. Various derivatives were produced with slight changes in cycle parts, suspension and transmission. Production continued for over four decades.Rajdoot sold about 1.6 million black "soviet" styled motorbikes, in the Excel T model, until it was phased out in 2005 due to Euro II emission regulations.

4. Yezdi Roadking

The Yezdi Roadking is a motorcycle produced in India by Ideal Jawa Ltd, Mysore from 1978 to 1996.The bike won several Indian rallies and road races in India.The Roadking was the first motorcycle in India to attempt to move away from pre-mixed fuel to a separate oil lube system via an oil pump.The motocross and ice racing origin frame and proper weight balance made handling very easy and agile compared to its rivals (Bullet, Rajdoot). Also these motorcycles were used by various police forces around the world, examples being Guatemala, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Turkey etc.
The Production was stopped in 1996 as many new fuel efficient models by the rivals were introduced in market. But the Yezdi still remains in the hearts of its fans even after 20 years.


3. Hero Honda Splendor

Succeeding the path of the CD 100, the first generation Splendor bike was launched in 1994. The arrival of the bike fuelled the progress of Indian two wheeler. There was a time when among every 10 two wheelers on Indian roads, 3 were Splendors. It became so popular that while buying a new bike the first choice for a customer was the Splendor. As of 2009, Splendor models were selling at a rate of one million per year. The Sale of Spendor Decreased after 2010 as many new models started rushing in the market. After the separation of Hero group and Honda motor company, the Splendor is now manufactured by Hero group only.


2. Bajaj Chetak

The Bajaj Chetak was a popular Indian-made motor scooter produced by the Bajaj Auto company.The Chetak is named after Chetak, the legendary horse of Indian warrior Maharana Pratap Singh.Originally based on Italian Vespa Sprint, Chetak was an affordable means of transportation for millions of Indian families for decades and was lovingly called Hamara Bajaj (Our Bajaj).During its heyday its chief competitor was LML NV made by LML India as a licensed copy of the Vespa PX 150. In the face of rising competition from bikes and cars, Chetak lost ground in India, and production was discontinued in 2009.
But it was the first Indian Two wheeler that had a unique loving relationship with millions of Indian customers & till this day no two wheeler have become as much popular as Chetak.

The Royal Enfield Bullet was originally a British motorcycle made by Royal Enfield in West Midlands, During the British Raj in India. Later Occupied by India & now it is produced by Royal Enfield Motors, the successor to the British company, at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in India. The Royal Enfield Bullet is the only motorcycle in the world that is continuously in production since 1931.It is the only Bike that was officially ordered by Indian Army in 1949, and since then Royal Enfield Bullet is used in Indian Army.
Since 1931 Bullet has evolved in many terms such as four-valve engine,exposed valve-gear,alloy wheels,electronic fuel-injection & even minor cosmetic changes but the overall form factor remains the same.
The Bullet is known specially for loud Sound that is produced by its powerful engine. In India Bullet and its rugged sound is considered as a status symbol.
